I've been there many times. The food in the Fährhaus is served by the friendly staff and it tastes really great. The inside is very cozy and clean. The Fährhaus has a large jetty with a great view of the Havel and the ferry.

Always great food, no matter what you order! Waiters are always nice and friendly. Super warm and cozy atmosphere.

We visited the restaurant as part of our vacation last Saturday and were very satisfied with the service, the food and the beautiful view and can absolutely recommend the restaurant. The meatloaf with the homemade puree and delicious vegetables is particularly recommended - delicious!

The Brandenburg restaurant | Fährhaus Caputh is located on Straße der Einheit 88, in 14548 Schwielosee. In this respect, the charming restaurant has a beer garden and a terrace with a view of the water. Hearty home-style cooking is served here. I drank a fine beer and ate a sauerbraten. Both were very delicious. The staff is very friendly, helpful and very valuable. I am happy to recommend this excellent address to others.

Came by here, we still know from GDR times, parking lot nearby, nice restaurant and ambience, lots of seats, outside, inside or on the terrace, with a view of the water, and ferry, as well as passing ships, at the beginning there were starting difficulties Staff, but then lay down again, were nice and friendly, clean, tidy toilets available, delicious food and drink, no question we will be back, although this little little known place at the time has now become a big visited place for many visitors, which is almost too much, but you should definitely go there. 😀👍👍👍😷

Very nice staff and a good kitchen. Despite the reduced number of seats, we had a very nice place at the window with a view of the water and the ferry, which admittedly with a combustion engine moves steadily and calmly chugging its way between the two banks. A pleasant end to the day after a nice day.

We had dinner here yesterday, I can only recommend it. The food is freshly prepared here, no canned food or pressed meat. A very nice atmosphere what you can find here. The service is very friendly. The price-performance ratio is very good here. I recommend this restaurant to you and give it 5 points. Thank you very much

Great from the call to the end. The food is all fresh and prepared very quickly. The service was absolutely friendly and courteous. Even the smallest guests are taken into account. We are very happy to come back.

Great location right by the ferry. Great view from the terrace of the passing boats and ships. Waited almost an hour for our food. I give the food a "3" from the school grade. Beef roulade has very fibrous meat and the dumplings are totally dry. Waitress (with a long pigtail) has to be trained again in terms of service - no question whether the food tastes good or whether other drinks are desired. Hence only three stars.

Wanted to eat there tonight. I called specially and asked if there was still a table for the evening, according to the employee no reservations are accepted - you should just come. On my objection that I do not want to take 35 minutes to travel and then get nothing, it was only said they were a big house there is always something free. Well, almost 40 minutes. Dare to drive ... and no table free. 6 people in front of us were already waiting. So that's why it's better not to do it during Corona times, it's a zero number

WOW. Beautiful place, super friendly and helpful staff (fluent in English!), but most importantly — the food is just amazing. It’s that kind of perfect home-style cooking you always look for in such places, but very rarely find. Everything just clicks about this place. Wholeheartedly recommend, and many thanks to the staff.

We were there spontaneously today. Got a nice, shady place! The service was very friendly and fast! All dishes were just perfect and delicious. Nicely presented! We would love to come back.

We sat in this incredibly beautiful place yesterday ..... we also had a particularly beautiful table 😍 ..... although of course the other tables are also beautiful .... 😉 and were received so incredibly nice. It was a perfect evening .... with breathtaking food, super nice and extremely attentive service !!!! Despite the intense heat and a really full shop, we got drinks and food at lightning speed ... a big compliment to the kitchen ... and the colleagues in the service department didn't seem stressed for a minute! ! Compliment !!! It is rare to find a restaurant where the ambience, the quality of the food and the service interact so fantastically. I could still rave for hours ... but convince yourself. We thank you for that and will probably come back all the time ❣️😎😉

Really nice German food and very friendly and professional staff (unfortunately not often the case). Relaxing view watching the boats and ferry passing by.

Such a lovely place to sit down and drink beer/eat a meal. We had an excellent lunch as we saw many trips of the ferry, and enjoyed small boats go by. It can get quite busy, but it was also a gorgeous sunny day.

We had not made a reservation and nevertheless we were quickly given a wonderful place on the terrace. With delicious food and a wonderful view of the cable ferry and the Templiner See, we were able to enjoy a wonderful evening. The service was also very nice and attentive.

Great restaurant right on the water - under chestnut trees in the beer garden - wonderful - or directly on the terrace. Very nice and fast staff! A great card - for every guest in any case something. From here you can take beautiful walks on the promenade. A trip here and crossing the traditional ferry is an experience!

A top address for delicious and freshly cooked food. I can definitely recommend the asparagus in all variations for asparagus time. It is definitely recommended, unless you drive past spontaneously, but plan his visit to reserve a table. So you have guaranteed a nice place. The staff is very friendly. Young children even get pictures for coloring. Absolutely worthwhile

The restaurant is very nice. You are right on the Havel and you have a wonderful view. The fish dishes are delicious. The staff is very friendly and uncomplicated. We felt very comfortable.

Awesome service and amazing food. We came to this place with 3 toddlers and the waiter could not have been more accommodating. We will clearly visit this place again! :)

Great location

Wonderfully located on the Havel / Schwielowsee. Four of us ate and it was all very good. The service is very courteous and attentive. We were there in the evening and had previously reserved, which certainly makes sense, since the window seats overlooking the water are particularly attractive.

We had coffee and cake here. Average taste coffee. There were only two choices of cake :o. We took the apple crumble one and boy it was not what I expect from a German cafe at all. It was way too dry and the bottom almost burned making it even dryer. Nice sitting by the water.

Beautiful restaurant beside lake with good food. Located just beside short ferry bridge crossing.

If you're in Caputh this is an absolute must visit, the Bienenstich cake is amazing, one of my absolute favourites

Surprisingly good food. Tried the home made fish soup ( which is very healthy). Nice stuff too. Great choice.
